Final unmanned QF-4 flight
The QF-4 target drone flew its final unmanned flight on Aug. 17 out of Holloman Air Force Base. The aircraft was serving as a target for a F-35 at White Sands Missile Range.

French Mirage 2000s arrived in Lithuania to replace Portuguese F-16s
Four French Air Force Mirage 2000 fighters arrived at Siauliai Air Force Base, Lithuania on Aug. 28 to replace the Portuguese F-16 contingent assigned to the NATO Baltic Air Policing Mission.

Su-34s deployed to Crimean Peninsula during snap drills
The Russian military carried out snap drills at its Southern, Western and Central military districts from Aug. 25-31 and during this period, Su-34s were deployed to bases on the Crimean Peninsula.
