Russian MoD says RC-135 was intercepted as its transponder was off

A spokesman from the Russian Ministry of Defense said a Su-27 was scrambled to intercept an American RC-135 over the Baltic Sea on Apr. 29 because the latter’s transponder was switched off.

MV-22B refuels the F-35B on the ground, air-to-air refueling next

The first ground refueling between a F-35B and a MV-22 tilt-rotor was carried out on Apr. 28 at Edwards Air Force Base.

Pakistan will have to pay more than $700 million for 8 F-16s

An anonymous senior U.S. state department official told the BBC that the sale of eight F-16s to Pakistan will no longer be entitled to foreign military financing aid. This means that Islamabad will have to pay up more than $700 million to buy the jets.

Again. Su-27 barrel-rolled over RC-135

The Pentagon said on Apr. 29, a Russian Su-27 barrel-rolled over a U.S. Air Force RC-135 above the Baltic Sea. That was the second incident this month.

USAF F-15s getting new brakes

The U.S. Air Force is about to complete testing of a new brake system for its F-15 fleet. Once completed, F-15C/D/E fighters will be able to make 1,400 landings before swapping out their brakes.
