MQ-1 crashed in Iraq while on a combat mission
A U.S. Air Force MQ-1 crashed while it was on a combat mission over Iraq on Jan. 8. An air strike was called in to destroy the wreckage to prevent the drone from falling into ISIL’s hands.

Turkey expects more delays in getting A400Ms this year
The Turkish Air Force is expected to take delivery of two A400Ms in April and June this year, but the Turkish Defense Ministry has anticipated that those targets are unlikely to be met by Airbus.

German Tornados based in Turkey flew their first operational flight
Two Luftwaffe Tornados took off from Incirlik airbase, Turkey on Jan. 8 for Germany’s first operational flight over Syria.
