A-10s deploy to Turkey

The U.S. military has confirmed a Agence France Presse report that 12 A-10s have arrived in Turkey and will fly missions over Syria and Iraq.

F-35 ejection seat issue expected to be resolved by 2017

F-35 Joint Program Office says three fixes are available to solve the recent ejection seat issue. All three solutions are expected to be implemented by summer 2017, the office has said.

South Korea to receive first pair of Global Hawks in 2018

South Korea will get two Global Hawks in 2018, followed by another two in 2019. Northrop Grumman told Flight Global that training of South Korean personnel will begin in early 2017.

Russia, U.S. signed MoU regarding safety over Syrian air space

A memorandum of understanding (MOU) that seeks to minimize the risk of inflight incidents among coalition and Russian aircraft operating in Syrian air space is now in effect.

U.S., Spain reach deal on clean-up of Palomares B-52 crash site

The U.S. government has finally agreed to do the final clean-up of the Palomares B-52 crash site in southern Spain, nearly fifty years since the bomber collided with a refueling tanker.
