B-52H air crews are now trained to operate with just four members

New students who graduated to fly the B-52 bomber this fall will be operating the eight-engine aircraft with four crew members instead of the usual five.

169th Fighter Wing participates in exercise Relampago VII

Six F-16s from South Carolina Air National Guard’s 169th Fighter Wing is in Colombia for exercise Relampago VII.

A U.S. Air Force F-16 fighter jet from the South Carolina Air National Guard’s 169th Fighter Wing is parked on the ramp with Colombian Air Force KFIR fighter jets. Both countries are participating in Relampago VII, an exercise in Barranquilla, Colombia, Sept. 5, 2022. The purpose of this exercise is to provide the Colombian Air Force with requested realistic interoperability training as allied countries, under NATO standards.
