RoKAF might get replacement for its 737-300 VIP jet

The South Korean government wants to buy a new airliner to replace the current Boeing 737-300 VIP jet.

The previous administration had wanted to lease a jet but officials have found that buying one is cheaper to operate. If given to go ahead, it will take five years for the new aircraft to enter service.

The current aircraft, dubbed Air Force Two, has been in service since 1985.
