PACAF, Vietnamese Air Force to cooperate in search-and-rescue operations

Regional tensions have brought former foes, United States and Vietnam closer together. At a press conference last week, the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam announced that the Pacific Air Forces and the Vietnamese Air Force will cooperate in search-and-rescue operations.

From rifleman in Iraq to C-17 pilot

1st Lt. Kevin Summerbell joined the U.S. military as an infantryman in 2003, on his second tour in Iraq, he was shot in the left arm and had to be evacuated by a C-17.

USAF to have F-15E, F-16 squadrons dedicated to CAS mission

USAF F-16D longeron cracks issue almost resolved

Nearly all of the 82 U.S. Air Force F-16Ds grounded by cracks on the canopy sill longeron are back flying and Lockheed Martin is finishing repairs to the last three aircraft.
