B-1B pilot helped land commercial 737 flight after captain falls sick

Capt. Mark Gongol, a B-1B pilot, had to help the first officer of a commercial 737 flight he was traveling in to land the aircraft after the captain of the aircraft needed medical attention 30 minutes into the flight.

French Rafales arrived in India for exercise

President of Finland confirmed Air Force couldn’t respond to Russia airspace incursion

Photos: First PLAAF road runway exercise in 1989

The first time the People’s Liberation Army Air Force carried out a landing and take-off exercise from a highway was back in September 1989. The exercise involved a Il-14 and J-7s. It was carried out on a stretch of the Shenyang–Dalian Expressway. So far, the PLA has more than 10 such runways spread out in Liaoning, Shandong and Fujian provinces.
