Two Mark 39 hydrogen bombs were ejected from a B-52 bomber over North Carolina in January 1961 when the bomber broke up in mid-air. One of the bombs armed itself and prepare to detonate as it drops towards the ground.

Indonesia’s Defense Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro has confirmed the country’s plan to replace its F-5 fleet. TNI-AU chief Air Chief Marshal Ida Bagus Putu Dunia said: “We are looking at our options as it is important to find a more sophisticated replacement.”
