A F-16 pilot assigned to the 77th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron clocked 1,000 hours in combat on Feb. 28 during a mission in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel in Afghanistan.
For the first time since 2013, the Daedalians – a national military aviation organization – has awarded the Joe Foss Award for Excellence. The recipient is Maj. Brett DeVries, a A-10 pilot with the 107th Fighter Squadron.

Jordan and Qatar have emerged as the latest customers for the DB-110 reconnaissance pod. The Pentagon announced in a filing on Mar. 5 that the deals, worth $51.2 million, come under an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract that was signed this year with the U.S. Air Force.
Two more T-50IQ advanced jet trainers have been delivered to Iraq and the jets are now at Martyr Mohammed Alaa airbase.
