The Detachment 2, 56th Operations Group at Kingsley Field in Klamath Falls, Oregon has been activated as the 550th Fighter Squadron on Jul. 21. Its mission is to train F-15C fighter pilots.

The 36th Fighter Squadron, base at Osan air base, South Korea, is marking its 100th anniversary in service with the U.S. Air Force with a special tail flash for one of its F-16.
