Meet the air boss of RTAF’s 88th Anniversary Airshow

The Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) is set to mark its 88th anniversary with a spectacular international airshow on Mar. 7-8, 2025, at Wing 6 in Don Mueang, Bangkok. Aviation enthusiasts can look forward to breathtaking aerial displays featuring teams from around the world, including the August 1st Aerobatic Team from China’s People’s Liberation Army Air Force, the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team from the Indian Air Force, and the U.S. Air Force’s cutting-edge F-35A demonstration team. The RTAF will also showcase its own aerial prowess by bringing the Saab JAS 39 fighter of the Shark Gripen Demonstraion Team from Wing 7, Surat Thani, performing flying demonstrations that highlight the capabilities of this advanced Swedish-made combat aircraft.

KF-21 to fly at Sacheon airshow

The 2024 Sacheon Airshow, scheduled for Oct. 24-27 at Sacheon Air Base, promises to be a landmark event for South Korea’s burgeoning aerospace industry. The most notable aspect of the airshow is the first public flight demonstration of the KF-21 fighter jet there, following its initial aerial display in 2022 at Seoul ADEX. This event will be a main attraction for aviation enthusiasts and industry professionals. The airshow will also feature demonstrations of other aircraft developed or manufactured in Sacheon, such as the LAH light armed helicopter, the T-50 supersonic trainer jet, and the KT-1 trainer aircraft.

F-15EX makes airshow debut at Oregon International Air Show

The F-15EX made its debut public appearance at the Oregon International Air Show (OIA). The advanced fighter jet, operated by the 142nd Wing of the Oregon Air National Guard, wowed the crowds with flyovers.

A 142nd Wing F-15EX Eagle II, tail 008, takes off from Portland Air National Guard Base, Ore. on July 12, 2024. The 142nd Wing welcomed its first F-15EX on June 5th and officially unveiled the aircraft to the public on July 12, 2024. The 142nd Wing is the first operational unit to field the novel aircraft.
