Australia has decided that it will no longer operate the MRH90 helicopter till 2037 and has started talks with the United States to buy 40 Black Hawks to replace the troubled helicopter in Army service.

A combined Hellfire missile shot was carried out by Apaches from the Japan Ground Self Defense Force, and 1-229th Attack Battalion, 16th Combat Aviation Brigade at Yakima Training Center on Dec. 6.
Four AH-64Ds assigned to the 1st Battle Helicopter Unit, Japanese Ground Self Defense Force, are in Yakima Training Center, Washington for a combined arms training exercise with units from the 7th Infantry Division as part of Exercise Rising Thunder 21.
The U.S. Army will station an attack helicopter squadron in South Korea permanently. This was confirmed by the Pentagon’s Global Posture Review (GPR) on Nov. 29.

Japan is conducting a joint exercise with U.S. forces in the Kagoshima prefecture. A handout provided by the Japanese Joint Staff office shows one of the exercise itenary being an anti-ship missile deployment with the U.S. Marine Corps.
