M-SHORAD being deployed to Europe

The Mobile Short Range Air Defense (M-SHORAD) system is to be deployed to Europe by the U.S. Army.

The 5th Battalion, 4th Air Defense Artillery Regiment (5-4 ADA), 10th Army Air and Missile Defense Command, is the first unit in the Army to receive the Mobile Short Range Air Defense (M-SHORAD) system. The M-SHORAD integrates existing guns, missiles, rockets and sensors onto a Stryker A1 vehicle. The system is designed to defend maneuvering forces against unmanned aircraft systems, rotary-wing and residual fixed-wing threats.

17th Cavalry Regiment, 3CAB transitions to AH-64E

The U.S. Arm’s 3rd Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade has started its transition to the AH-64E attack helicopter.

An Apache Pilots assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade, conducts familiarization training on the AH-64E Apache helicopter in a flight simulator at Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia, April 1. Taiwan’s PAC-3 unit can deployed in 25 minutes

Taiwan recently held a combat readiness exercise and the Ministry of National Defense’s Military News Agency has produce a video of the exercise. In the video, an officer in charge of a PAC-3 battery describe how his unit can be deployed for combat in 25 minutes and the battery is operational in 70 minutes.
