Photos of a Mitsubishi J8M1 test site in Matsumoto has emerged. The black and white photos show testing of the rocket engine at a technical school in the city during the second world war.

MH-60G that rescued F-117 pilot Dale Zelko has been retired

MH-60G Pave Hawk, #26009, has made its final flight on May 5 with Maj. Gen. Chad P. Franks, 15th Air Force commander, at the controls.

Major General Franks flew the very same MH-60 Pave Hawk during Operation ALLIED FORCE, rescuing a downed F-117 pilot from enemy territory; in 1999, during the operation, the helicopter belonged to the 55th Special Operations Squadron at Hurlburt Field. Father of Terrain-Following Radar has passed away

Edward C. Schwartz, whose pioneering work at the Cornell Aeronautical Laboratory in the 1950s lead to the development of the Terrain-Following Radar has passed away in New York last month.
