South Korea to proceed with purchase of CH-47F helicopters

South Korea has approved a plan to purchase new heavy-lift CH-47F Chinook helicopters from the U.S. defense firm Boeing to replace its aging CH-47D fleet. The Defense Project Promotion Committee has endorsed a $1.15 billion plan to acquire the helicopters through 2028, according to the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA).

Greek defense ministry weighs in on SSI infrastructure programs for F-35s

Greece is considering partnering with Lockheed Martin to provide security, supply, and information (SSI) infrastructure programs for the F-35 fighter jet package. A decision by the Greek Defense Ministry is expected next week on this proposal which would ensure the successful reception of the F-35s in 2027-28

Elbit Systems secures 4 contracts from Romania

Elbit Systems Ltd., a leading defense electronics company, has secured four contracts from the Romanian Ministry of National Defense to supply aircraft upgrades, electronic warfare suites, electro-optical infrared (EOIR) payloads, and Brightnit systems for Romania’s military aircraft.

Germany looks to purchase Airbus H-145M helicopters for military use

Germany’s Defence Ministry is reportedly seeking to replace its existing Tiger combat helicopter fleet by purchasing 82 Airbus H-145M civilian helicopters. According to a recent report by Business Insider, the ministry plans to convert some of these helicopters into combat aircraft and arm them with anti-tank missiles.
