GAO warns Boeing has insufficient time to test KC-46A before production decision
The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) has warned that the Pentagon has to make a decision on building the first production models of the KC-46A just three months after the tanker has flown.

Boeing to offer KC-46A for Japan’s new air refueling tanker contest this year
Boeing says it expects Japan to launch a competition for a new air refueling tanker this year and will offer the KC-46A.

Boeing’s subcontractors having problems developing KC-46A boom and refueling pods
Delays in developing the flying boom for the KC-46A is preventing the aircraft from making its maiden flight, the U.S. Government Accountability Office said.

First flight of KC-46A delayed again
The U.S. Air Force has conceded that Boeing will not be able to take the KC-46A on its maiden flight in April. It will likely be carried out in the second quarter of the year.
