U.S. Navy orders 12 UH-1Ys and 16 AH-1Zs
In a release filed on Mar. 11, the U.S. Navy has placed an order for 12 UH-1Ys and 16 AH-1Zs for the Marine Corps. The contract is worth $461 million.

MV-22s will be fighting fires starting from May
California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) was so impressed by the MV-22’s capability to fight fires during a demonstration at Hemet-Ryan Airfield on Feb. 11 that it has decided to call up the tiltrotor for fire fighting duties starting from May this year.
