California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) was so impressed by the MV-22’s capability to fight fires during a demonstration at Hemet-Ryan Airfield on Feb. 11 that it has decided to call up the tiltrotor for fire fighting duties starting from May this year.
