Malaysian company to do depot maintenance on USMC’s KC-130Js

Aircraft Inspection, Repair & Overhaul Depot Sdn Bhd (AIROD), a Malaysian company that aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul services for the Royal Malaysian Air Force, has secured a contract to service USMC KC-130Js based in Iawakuni, Japan.

Investigations revealed chaotic scene inside CH-53E when it crashed in Gulf of Aden last year

A CH-53E from VMM-263 (Reinforced) missed the flight deck of USS Mesa Verde while descending to land and crashed into waters off the coast of Djibouti on Sept. 1, 2014. Documents released through the Freedom of Information Act revealed the chaotic scene inside the rotorcraft as it started sinking.

U.S. Navy took control of airborne EW pod from ship using Link 16

A team from Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division successfully took control of an airborne electronic warfare (EW) pod mounted on a AV-8B from a ship using Link 16 during Talisman Sabre 2015 in Australia.
