VMFA-314 declares IOC

VMFA-314 has declared initial operational capability (IOC) for the F-35C, bringing the squadron one step closer to deploying the jet onboard aircraft carriers.

Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 314 declares their initial operational capability (IOC) for the F-35C Lightning II, having met the standards set forth by Headquarters Marine Corps. IOC declaration marks a significant accomplishment for VMFA-314 of 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW) that further enables 3rd MAW to support the Marine Air-Ground Task Force. U.S. Army acquires AH-1W for testing of XM915 20mm Gatling gun

NAVAIR signs CH-53K LRIP Lot 4 contract for six rotorcraft

Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has signed an approximately $550 million contract with Sikorsky Aircraft for six CH-53K helicopters under the Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) Lot 4 contract.
