A U.S. Marine Corps AH-1Z attack helicopter was forced to make a precautionary landing in Tonaki Village, Okinawa on Jan. 23. This is the third such incident involving a USMC helicopter in Okinawa prefecture.
The U.S. Marine Corps has constructed sloped landing pads of various gradients at MCALF Bogue in order to gauge how the F-35B performs on such surfaces.
