NAVAIR signs CH-53K LRIP Lot 4 contract for six rotorcraft

Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has signed an approximately $550 million contract with Sikorsky Aircraft for six CH-53K helicopters under the Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) Lot 4 contract.

FS Suffren test fires MdCN and SM39

The French Navy’s nuclear-powered attack submarine FS Suffren has test fired a MdCN (Missile de Croisière Naval) naval cruise missile from the sea near the DGA missile test centre at Biscarrosse on Oct. 20.

JASDF F-35As train with USS America

USS America (LHA 6) participated in advanced combined operations with F-35As from Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) in the Pacific Ocean on Oct. 20.

PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 20, 2020) F-35 Lightning II aircraft assigned to the Japan Air Self Defense Force conduct integrated air operations with the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). USN T-6B crash kills two

The U.S. Navy said two people aboard one of its T-6B that crashed in Foley, Baldwin County, Alabama were killed. The training aircraft had taken off from NAS Whiting Field.
