South Koreans are angry over VFA-102’s tail flash featuring the 旭日旗

South Koreans are unhappy with the tail flash of the U.S. Navy’s VFA-102 fighter squadron as it depicts the Rising Sun Flag (旭日旗). A photo of the jet with the Rising Sun Flag on its tail that was released by Pacific Air Forces caught the attention of the media in South Korea.

France cleared to buy 3 E-2Ds

The U.S. government has informed Congress on the potential Foreign Military Sale of three E-2D Hawkeyes to France on Jul. 6.

NORFOLK, Va. (September 9, 2019) – An E-2D Hawkeye being recieved by the “Greyhawks” of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 120 completes landing procedures at Naval Station Norfolk Monday, September 9. This is the first E-2D Hawkeye with aerial refueling capability to join the fleet, increasing the Navy’s battlespace awareness and integrated fire control — both from the air and the sea.
