JS Kaga carried out a search for a Chinese submarine in the South China Sea on Oct. 26 as it heads home, a Yomiuri Shimbun reporter who was embedded aboard the ship has reported.

VAQ-135 replaces VMAQ-2 at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar

The EA-6B Prowler from VMAQ-2 has stood down from front line operations in the Middle East with the arrival of VAQ-135 at at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, Oct. 30.

An EA-18G Growler assigned to the Electronic Attack Squadron 135 (VAQ-135) “Black Ravens” arrives at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, Oct. 30, 2018. The electronic warfare aircraft has electronic attack, jamming, and satellite communication capabilities as well as communication countermeasures. VAQ-135 will replace VMAQ-2, which operated EA-6B Prowlers. VAQ-135 is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points. Reagan, Stennis CSGs conducting high-end dual carrier operations in the Philippine Sea

After a hiatus of two years, aircraft carriers USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) and USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) are once again conducting dual aircraft carrier strike group operations in the Philippine Sea.

USN: Pilots followed rules in unscheduled flyby at Packers game

The U.S. Navy has determined that the crew of two MH-60Rs from HSM-75 did not break any rules or regulations during their unscheduled flyby of Lambeau Field on Aug. 16.
