A Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force CH-101 helicopter crashed at the Iwakuni today while undergoing sling load operation. Three on board suffered light injuries.

The U.S. Navy is preparing to transition all remaining F/A-18Cs stationed at NAS Oceana to the F/A-18E/F. Members of the public are invited to two meetings end of this month to discuss and make comments on a draft environmental assessment of the swap.
