Chinese J-10s buzz U.S. Navy P-3 south of Hong Kong

A U.S. Navy P-3 was intercepted by two Chinese J-10 fighters southeast of Hong Kong on May 24 and the encounter was deemed unsafe by the American aircrew.

Boeing gets $89 million to integrate IRST Block II on Super Hornet

The U.S. Navy is moving forward towards integrating the Infrared Search and Track System (IRST) on the Boeing Super Hornet fighter by giving Boeing a $89 million cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for a Block II design of the IRST.

First Boeing, now Lockheed drops out of OTH-WS competition too

Lockheed Martin has decided against competing in the U.S. Navy’s Over-the-Horizon Weapon System (OTH-WS) competition. The news came almost a month after Boeing dropped out of the same competition.
