U.S. Navy still can’t figure out how to dispose carrier Enterprise

The U.S. Navy issued a request for proposal last year asking the industry on how to dispose non-nuclear portions of USS Enterprise. It has since recalled the request after determining that it requires more time to decide on the best option.

U.S. Navy sailor shot and killed by security officer at NAS Oceana

A security officer from Naval Air Station Oceana shot and killed a U.S. Navy sailor on Feb. 24. A spokesperson from the Navy said the security officer fired his weapon for “his safety and the safety of other personnel in the area.”

VP-10 conduct compatibility exercises with JMSDF P-1 counterparts

VP-10 conducted a four-day joint compatibility and training exercise with the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF) Fleet Air Wing Four (FAW-4), Feb. 14-17.
