U.S. Navy creating an upgunned Expeditionary Strike Group for Asia Pacific
Commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet recently told reporters that the sailing branch is creating an upgunned Expeditionary Strike Group that will combine a traditional three-ship Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) with a three ship guided-missile destroyer surface action group (SAG).

Snapped CDP behind the loss of Russian MiG-29K
A Russian newspaper said the loss of a MiG-29K off Syria was not due to technical difficulties on board the fighter. Instead, the cross deck pendants (CDP) on carrier Admiral Kuznetsov had snapped during the landing of a MiG-29K. The flight deck crew was unable to replace the arresting cables in time for the third jet to trap.

Russian Navy deployed coastal anti-ship missiles on Kuril Islands
The newspaper of Russia’s Pacific Fleet, Boyevaya Vakhta, reported that the Bal-E and Bastion-P coastal anti-ship missile batteries have been deployed in the disputed Kuril Islands.

Two Filipino pilots undergoing TC-90 conversion course
