F-35 drops JSOW for first time

The F-35 has dropped its first AGM-154 Joint Standoff Weapon (JSOW) for the first time on Mar. 23.

The F-35 Lightning II Pax River Integrated Test Force from Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) 23 conducted the first weapons separation test of an AGM-154 Joint Standoff Weapon (JSOW) from an F-35C Lightning II carrier variant March 23. During flight 180 over the NAVAIR Atlantic Test Ranges, Cmdr. Ted Dyckman, a U.S. Navy F-35 test pilot, dropped an inert JSOW from aircraft CF-05. South Korea’s S-3 purchase expected to be approved in June, Vietnam interested as well

At the FIDAE Airshow in Chile, Lockheed Martin said the sale of the S-3 to South Korea is expected to be approve in June and Vietnam plus another Asian country has shown interest in buying the retired ex-U.S. Navy anti-submarine hunter.
