The U.S. Navy will take delivery of its newest aircraft carrier USS. Gerald R. Ford in September, Assistant Secretary of the Navy Sean Stackley told lawmakers in a written statement on Apr. 6.

Japan to send helicopter carrier to Indonesia, Philippines
The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force announced on Apr. 5 that it will be sending its Hyūga-class helicopter destroyer JS Ise to Indonesia and Philippines.

This year’s RIMPAC will see CH-53s, MV-22s landing aboard Australia’s new carrier
Australia will bring its new amphibious assault ship HMAS Canberra to the Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise in Hawaii and the ship’s captain told Jane’s that USMC CH-53s and MV-22s will be carrying out deck qualifications.
