Malaysia, U.S. defense chiefs to tour USS Theodore Roosevelt in South China Sea

A C-2A will bring U.S. Defense Secretary Ash Carter from Kuala Lumpur to USS Theodore Roosevelt now sailing in South China Sea. His guest for the trip will be Malaysian Defense Minister Hishammuddin Hussein.

Airspace was opened to commercial air traffic while Indian Navy test-fired BrahMos supersonic cruise missile

India test-fired a BrahMos supersonice cruise missile from INS Kochi on Nov. 1, during that time, the airspace in the exercise remained opened to commercial air traffic due to a communications mix-up.

SM-3 Block IB failed during intercept, THAAD missile then successfully destroys target in terminal phase

The U.S. Missile Defense Agency (MDA) carried out a multiple engagement test in the vicinity of Wake Island on Nov. 1 and the plan was to have a SM-3 Block IB intercept an extended Medium Range Ballistic Missile (eMRBM) in the midcourse phase with a THAAD interceptor as a backup.
