VP-16 deployment to Japan affirm decision to drop MAD

Rear Admiral Cindy Jaynes told IHS Jane’s that the recent deployment by VP-16 to Kadena Air Base in Japan had validated the Navy’s decision not to install a magnetic anomaly detector (MAD) on the P-8A.

NH90 out of India’s naval helicopter contest

India has rejected the NH90 for its tender to supply 16 helicopters to the Navy. The other bidder left is Sikorsky with its S-70B helicopter.
