China, Russia developing UAV launched from rocket

Rostec deputy director Dmitry Rytenkov told RIA Novosti that China and Russia are developing a unmanned aerial vehicle that can be quickly launched using a 300mm rocket.

A picture of an unmanned aerial vehicle from Russia has been uploaded on the Internet. RIA Novosti speculates that the UAV could be from Rybinsk Design Bureau.

Chinese fighter pilots scrambled to intercept Global Hawk

The Republic of China Air Force scrambled two F-16 fighters to intercept a U.S. Global Hawk that was flying along the border of its Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) on Sept. 8.

Pakistan’s UAV carried out air strike against militants

The Pakistani army says its indigenous UAV had carried out an air strike for the first time, killing three militants. The strike was in the North Waziristan tribal region.
