Permanent gearbox fix for A400M delayed till next year

Europrop International (EPI) has admitted that it is unable to roll out a permanent solution to the gearbox issue on its TP400-D6 engine by this year.

Chinese admiral claims J-15s have carried out “thousands of takeoffs” using EMALS

Rear Admiral Yin Zhuo, director of the People’s Liberation Army Navy’s expert consultation committee, told CCTV recently that the country’s J-15s have made “thousands of takeoffs” using the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS).

Raytheon not offering air-to-air variant of AMRAAM-ER

Jane’s was told by Raytheon at the Dubai airshow that the company has no plans to evolve the AMRAAM-ER into an air-to-air missile.

AW129’s successor designated as AW249
