Elbit Systems announced on Aug. 29 that it has been awarded an approximately $93 million contract from an Asia-Pacific country to upgrade its F-5. This country is Thailand.

The U.S. Navy announced that USS Wasp (LHD 1) has departed for Sasebo, Japan, Aug. 30. The ship will replace USS Bonhomme Richard as the 7th Fleet’s forward-deployed amphibious assault ship.
