USN to help Swiss investigate 2015 F/A-18D crash

The Swiss military has enlisted the help of the U.S. Navy to investigate the cause of the crash of a F/A-18D in October, 2015.

Vixen 500E chosen for IAR-99 TD

Romania has decided to equip its IAR-99 TD jet with Leonardo’s Vixen 500E AESA radar. National Institute for Aerospace Research “Elie Carafoli” (INCAS) will integrate the radar on a Romanian Air Force IAR-99 Soim (prototype no. 7003).

Second round of B61-12 qualification flight tests

The U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration announced on Aug. 28 that two qualification flight tests of B61-12 gravity bombs were carried out at Tonopah Test Range, Nevada on Aug. 28.
