THAAD’s AN/TPY-2 detected launch of Hwasong-12 IRBM

South Korea’s defense minister told lawmakers on May 16 that the U.S. Terminal High Altitude Area Defense system (THAAD) deployed in the country was able to pick up the launch of North Korea’s Hwasong-12 intermediate-range ballistic missile (IRBM).

Lockheed Martin receives delivery order to provide Kuwait with Sniper pods

The U.S. Air Force has given Lockheed Martin a delivery order to provide 14 Sniper targeting pods to the Kuwait Air Force for its F/A-18C/D.

BAE Systems rolled out first Eurofighter and Hawk for Royal Air Force of Oman

Dassualt CEO says another 18 Rafales will be sold next year

In an interview with French regional newspaper Sud-Ouest, Dassault’s CEO Eric Trappier said his firm is in talks for another 18 Rafale fighters but the contract will concluded in 2018.

Pentagon’s Inspector General to examine if B-21 has excessive secrecy

The Pentagon’s Inspector General Office is to conduct an evaluation and submit a report to Congress on whether the U.S. Air Force has placed too much secrecy on the B-21 program.
