Two JMSDF DDGs in joint exercise with Carl Vinson CSG

The U.S. 7th Fleet announced that the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group (CSG) has commenced a bilateral exercise in the Philippine Sea with two Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) destroyers.

WC-135 dispatched to Korean Peninsula last week

A South Korean official told Yonhap news agency that a U.S. Air Force WC-135 nuclear sniffer was flown to the Korean Peninsula on Apr. 20 for an “emergency sortie.”

RAND: Chinese investment in U.S. aviation sector

RAND has published a paper on Chinese investment in U.S. aviation sector to date and concluded that there are no immediate concerns due to effective U.S. export and foreign investment regulations.

RNZAF NH90 fleet slapped with flying restrictions following engine failure

The Royal New Zealand Air Force has restricted its NH90 pilots from flying over water, in the mountains and over populated areas after one of the rotorcraft had an inflight engine failure on Apr. 16.

TNI AU Su-30MK crew saved aircraft after bird strike

A Indonesian Air Force Su-30MK suffered an inflight left engine failure after take off on Apr. 7 and the crew skillfully recovered the aircraft.
