A rare Kawasaki Ha40 liquid-cooled inline V engine has been discovered at a construction site in Ryuta-cho, Goko-sho, Higashiomi City, Shiga Prefecture. The engine was used to power the Kawasaki Ki-61, the only mass-produced Japanese fighter during the Second World War that uses such an arrangement.
India to participate in Exercise Cobra Warrior in Britain
The Indian Air Force is sending another contingent overseas for joint exercises with a foreign air force. This time five Mirage 2000 fighters will be heading to Waddington Air Force Base in Britain from Mar. 6-24.

Saab to sell RBS 70 NG and Giraffe 1X radar to a Western country
Saab, the Swedish aerospace and defense company, has just announced a major win in the form of a framework agreement with an unknown Western government. Under this agreement, Saab will supply a number of defense systems including the Carl-Gustaf® multi-purpose shoulder launched weapon, the RBS 70 NG short-range air defense system, and the Giraffe 1X radar. Deliveries are scheduled to take place between 2023 and 2026.
