USS George Washington will replace USS Ronald Reagan in Japan by 2025

Nikkei Asia has found out that the U.S. Navy intends to replace the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76) with USS George Washington (CVN-73) as the forward-deployed carrier in Japan.

Australia cleared to buy AARGM-ER missiles

The Biden administration has approved a possible sale of Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missiles-Extended Range (AARGM-ERs) to the Government of Australia. The proposed sale includes up to 63 AARGM-ERs, 20 AARGM-ER Captive Air Training Missiles, and related equipment for an estimated cost of $506 million. This sale will support the foreign policy and national security objectives of the United States, as Australia is one of the United States’ most important allies in the Western Pacific.
