J-15 in the groove 14 seconds before it crashed
A photo of the final moments of a J-15 that crashed on Apr. 27 shows the aircraft on final 14 seconds before the pilot lost control of the jet. The Landing Signals Officer is said to have give a rating of 3 out of 5 for the approach. It was pilot Zhang Cao’s last landing of the day.

VMFA-232 lost another F/A-18C
A U.S. Navy pilot, flying a F/A-18C from VMFA-232, was forced to eject near Naval Air Station Fallon, Nevada, at approximately 10:50 a.m. on Aug. 2.
