X-62A flown by an artificial intelligence agent for more than 17 hours

The X-62A has been flown by artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms developed under DARPA’s Air Combat Evolution (ACE) program for 17 hours during test flights at the Air Force Test Pilot School (TPS) at Edwards Air Force Base, California.

Japan to make bulk purchase of Tomahawk cruise missiles

The Japanese government has decided to make a bulk purchase of American-made Tomahawk cruise missiles for the next five years as part of its defense strategy against China’s anti-access/area denial capabilities. The Defense Ministry plans to deploy the missiles as part of its counterstrike capabilities starting from fiscal 2026. The ministry intends to buy the Tomahawk missiles under the Foreign Military Sales program. The goal is to achieve reliable and early deployment while also reducing the unit cost by concluding a large contract.

It’s time to talk about South Korea’s latest military development: a new advanced guided missile system designed to strike North Korean long-range artillery pieces. The country’s state arms procurement agency has announced that it plans to adopt a basic plan for the development of this new missile as early as next month.

Estonia and Latvia to jointly acquire medium-range air defense systems

Estonia and Latvia are taking a step forward in their defense capabilities by jointly procuring medium-range air defense systems. This move highlights the importance these neighboring countries place on ensuring their security and the effectiveness of their air defense. The procurement process will be based purely on the price and capabilities of the systems, which will be determined by the most economically advantageous and technically capable system in the market.
