A piece by Nikkei Asian Review says Thailand is keen on getting the Kawasaki P-1 maritime patrol plane. Earlier it was reported that Bangkok is taking a close look at the ShinMaywa US-2 amphibious aircraft for fire fighting duties.

In his last commencement speech to graduates of the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado, U.S. President Barack Obama joked that he’s “really going to miss” Air Force one.

The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the Navy’s Blue Angels both lost aircraft on Jun. 2 and according to media reports, the pilot of the Blue Angels Hornet did not survive the crash.
