Kazakhstan has started preliminary talks with Ilyushin on acquiring the Il-76MD-90A cargo plane and Il-78 aerial tanker, General Director of Ilyushin, Sergey Velmozhkin, revealed.

The U.S. Air Force will keep its RQ-4 unmanned aerial vehicle in Guam this summer instead of sending the aircraft o Misawa air base in Japan as per past practice.

A B-52H bomber has been flown from Minot Air Force Base to Andersen Air Force Base, Guam on Jun. 2. The bomber from 69th Bomb Squadron probably is to replace the one that crash in Guam last month.
Boeing has conceded that a software solution to fix the load issues on the flying boom was not robust enough and the company will have to modify the hardware itself.
