SM-3 intercepts ballistic missile over North Atlantic Ocean for the first time
The first ballistic missile interception by a SM-3 interceptor in the North Atlantic Ocean took place on Oct. 20. USS Ross fired the missile which intercepted a short-range Terrier Orion ballistic missile target. The cues for the firing solution came from Dutch and Spanish warships.

Belarus plans to phase out MiG-29s and replace with Su-30SMs
Belarus plans to purchase the Sukhoi Su-30SM fighter after 2020 to replace the country’s MiG-29s, the head of Belorussian Air Force said on Oct. 20.
