Excessive manoeuvre and imperfect nose cone lead to F-15D crash in Britain

An investigation into the crash of a U.S. Air Force F-15D in Britain last year found that the pilot had manoeuvred the jet too aggressively, coupled with the fact that the nose cone of the aircraft was imperfect, this caused the fighter into a spin which the pilot could not recover.

Help retired Brig. Gen. Robert F. ‘Earthquake’ Titus recreate the last USAF P-51 flight

Retired Brig. Gen. Robert F. ‘Earthquake’ Titus flew the last U.S. Air Force P-51 flight on Apr. 15, 1955. A fund raising campaign has started to help him recreate the flight on its 60th anniversary by flying in the back seat of Daryl Bond’s dual control P-51D Mustang.
