Two Dutch F-16s were scrambled to intercept a civilian Learjet over the Ijsselmeer on Aug. 12 after the private plane failed to respond to air traffic controllers.

Turkey to buy 145 AIM-120C-7 missiles
The U.S. Congress has been informed on a potential sale of 145 AIM-120C-7 missiles to Turkey. The weapons together with associated equipment, parts, training and logistical support is estimated to cost $320 million.
