DARPA selects three teams for XS-1 spaceplane program
Three teams have been awarded contracts under Phase 1 of DARPA’s XS-1 spaceplane program. Boeing, working with Blue Origin; Masten Space Systems working with XCOR Aerospace; and Northrop Grumman with Virgin Galactic will now develop concepts for a vehicle that can fly 10 times in 10 days and exceeding Mach 10 in flight.
