A-10s and C-146s will land on a highway in the United States

The Michigan Air National Guard will conduct its first road runway training exercise on Aug. 5.

The A-10 Thunderbolt II is the first Air Force aircraft specially designed for close air support of ground forces. They are effective and survivable twin-engine jet aircraft that can carry a wide variety of munitions that can be used against all ground targets, including tanks and other armored vehicles.

F-35B landed at Kadena Air Base with gun pod issue

A U.S. Marine Corps F-35B landed at Kadena Air Base around 1:10 p.m. local time on Jul. 26 and the jet taxied to one corner with issues over its gun pod.

Freshour became the first F-35B Joint Strike Fighter pilot to fly from the deck of HMS Queen Elizabeth while carrying a GPU. This milestone continues VMFA-211’s preparation for the United Kingdom’s Carrier Strike Group global deployment.
