Second X-47B completes structural proof tests
The second X-47B Unmanned Combat Air System produced by Northrop Grumman has successfully completed a series of structural proof tests of the jet’s airframe at the company’s aircraft assembly facility in Palmdale, Calif. In the photo, technicians verify that the hydraulic jacks that push and pull on the airframe surfaces to simulate static and dynamic loads are installed properly.

Public museums won’t get RAAF F-111s
Five Australian military bases will be getting the retired RAAF F-111 for display, three of the jets might be preserved for “defense heritage” while two could go back to the U.S. for the Air Force museum. No public aviation museums are allowed to have one.
