Japan has changed its policy on scrambling fighters against Chinese aircraft

Japan’s Air Self-Defense Force will now scramble fighters to intercept Chinese aircraft less frequently and only do so when the planes are threatening to violate the country’s airspace, Kydo News reports.

VFA-97 trading F/A-18E for F-35C

VFA-97 has flown the final flights on their F/A-18E and the squadron will now prepare to transition to the F-35C.
